While I own many different types of shoes, combat boots and boots in general really are my favorite. I feel sorry for my friends that have to hang out with me in the middle of summer when it is 80 degrees and humid, as I still wear my combat boots and I'm sure it does not smell nice when I take them off. I will usually try to make my combat boots work with any outfit I'm wearing, even if it is a white lacey dress. I can't help but let my inner Jane Lane shine through. For giggles please see this picture of my sister in law and I at Halloween last year. Here is a second picture to prove how awesome we are.)
Anways, my faithful combat boots are finally starting to meet their end and I am in need of a new pair. There are several pairs on Mod Cloth that I am interested in and will probably purchase. However I thought I would make a little wish lists of the boots I would get if I didn't have to worry about their price.
The first would obviously have to be a pair of iconic black Doc Martens. I wouldn't mind having them in both the regular 1460 and the 1490 which is a bit taller. I'm a big fan of a more relaxed unlaced combat boot look and I think the Doc Marten Triumph achieves that perfectly. It's always fun to mix edgey with dainty and girly, its something I tend to do a lot with outfits, so it's almost impossible to not love the Victorian Flower print Doc Marten 1460's. It's almost like the Dr. and Cath Kidston had a secret love affair. However while looking at their site I noticed a new collab that is probably the Holy Grail of collabs and combat boots. The DM X Liberty are heaven sent. I have a pair of rain boots in this print from when Liberty did a collab with Target several years ago and it has always been one of my favorite floral prints. So I nearly had a heart attack when I saw these. If I splurge anytime soon on a pair of Doc Marten's these will definitely be the pair I buy first.
Next we have a pair of Chelsea boots which I have still yet to find the perfect pair to purchase even though I have been looking for over a year now. The ones pictured are fabulous, but I found the picture online and have no clue where they are from. Sigh. However I have found two rather marvelous pairs on ASOS. The first, ABACUS Leather Chelsea Ankle Boots, is a pretty basic Chelsea boot with a more rounded toe. However the second is the one I really fell for and they just happen to be on sale! The ALBAN Studded Chelsea Ankle Boots are covered in small gold studs all over and just scream that they need to be in my closet.
And lastly, which aren't actually combat boots but are pretty close with a sole like that, are the Jeffrey Campbell HOMG Sneaker. And to top off my 14 year old "thought I was punk but was really just some form of Emo" dream are the Jeffrey Campbell HOMG Skeleton Sneaker, seriously look at these beauties.
Do you own any of these, if so do you think they are worth the price? Who else are lusting after these lovelies to adorn their feet?
